East King County is not one kind of neighbourhood, and garage doors here fail in ways that follow the map. Up against the foothills the winters are wetter and colder than they are down by the water, and that combination is hard on steel. Torsion springs are rated for a number of cycles, not a number of years, but a spring that spends five months a year going from freezing overnight to damp by mid-morning reaches the end of that count sooner. February and March are consistently our busiest weeks.
The valley’s housing stock splits cleanly in two. There are the older homes — detached garages, wooden jambs, doors that were fitted decades ago and have been adjusted by three different people since — and there are the newer subdivisions, where an entire street was built in the same eighteen months with the same builder-grade door and the same opener. The second kind fails on a schedule. When one neighbour calls us about a stripped opener gear, we are usually back on that street within the season.
We cover the valley from North Bend at the foot of Mount Si, through Snoqualmie and the Ridge, out along the river to Fall City, and north up SR-203 to Carnation. All four are close enough together that a technician already in the valley can often reach a second call the same afternoon.
Work we do here every week: torsion and extension spring replacement, doors lifted back onto their tracks after a cable snapped or a car nudged them, opener repairs down to the gear and the sensor, roller and hinge replacement, and new door installation when the panels have rusted through at the bottom edge.

Frequently asked questions
Which valley towns do you cover?
North Bend, Snoqualmie, Fall City and Carnation are our core towns. If your address sits between them — up a road off SR-202 or SR-203 — call and read us the address; the valley is small and we almost certainly cover it.
Why do springs break so often in this part of the county?
Springs wear by cycle count, and cold, damp air accelerates corrosion at the coils. Homes in the foothills see more freeze-and-thaw mornings than homes closer to the sound, so the same spring gives out earlier here.
Can you get to the valley at night?
Yes. We run 24/7, and a door stuck open is exactly the call we would rather take at midnight than leave until morning.
Anywhere in the valley, any hour — call (425) 363-9321.
